Read moreHere at Bistech, we understand our impact extends beyond the results we achieve for our customers. That’s why we embrace the values that were carefully chosen by our team: ambition, integrity, and community. Driven by these principles, we’re committed to upholding our environmental and social responsibilities and improving the lives of our people, our community, and our planet.
We’re curious, creative, and continually learning. We work hard, we love what we do, and we’re dedicated to our customers’ success.
We’re here for the long term. We nurture trusted relationships with our customers, partners, and people, keeping honesty and ethical business at the core of our operation.
We’re stronger together than alone. We value and support each other, working collaboratively to positively impact our business and the wider world.
We know the key to our success is our people so we work hard to create an open, inclusive, and collaborative culture in which everyone can thrive. As an ambitious team, we continuously provide personalised opportunities for growth and development, ensuring lifelong quality education and pathways for progression.
From growing our committed sustainability team to generating our own renewable energy, we’re dedicated to implementing positive changes for both our local communities and the planet. In 2023 we achieved the ISO 14001 certification to demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement, and we are resolute in our pursuit of net zero by 2040.
Our Electric Vehicle scheme was established in 2021. The scheme has now reached 28% take-up by eligible employees.
In 2022 we installed solar panels at Bistech HQ with the support of Low Carbon Dorset — saving 12 tonnes of CO2e across 2023.
We achieved a 36% Scope 1&2 emission reduction across FY 22/23. In the coming year, our reporting extends to Scope 3.
Committed to positive change, we’re certified to the demanding ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems standard.
We know how important it is to protect the wellbeing of our people, so we take a proactive approach. By operating with integrity and offering a variety of benefits that increase with length of service, we’re proud to attract people who want to stay — and we have an average service length of 10 years to prove it.
Social impact
Our people have always been passionate about supporting their local communities. In 2017, we established the Community Fund and, every year, we donate to a wide range of worthy causes and offer a generous sponsorship to each employee who completes a challenge for their chosen charity.
