Talented student triumphs with Bistech
Star student Robert Chant was recognised for excellence at his university graduation ceremony, thanks to Bistech's 10th consecutive year of award sponsorship.
He was presented with the prestigious Corporate Studies Student of the Year Award for the best research project in the business school at Bournemouth University (BU).
Victoria Thatcher, Bistech’s HR Recruitment Specialist, presented Robert with a framed certificate and cheque in front of hundreds of guests at his graduation ceremony at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).
Robert, 22, who graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies with Finance, said: "I was surprised but also very honoured to receive the award.
"My thanks go to the university and Bistech for choosing me. It is great that local companies such as Bistech support the university in this way.
"It marks a brilliant start to my life and career after university."
Robert, who lived in Winton in Bournemouth during his studies, was among the students from BU's Business School presented with their degrees at the graduation ceremony, one of six held over four consecutive days at the BIC.

The average length of time in a job for employees at Bistech is nine years.
Bournemouth University graduates include Chris James, who is in Bistech's Business Development Team and has been with the company for 18 months. Senior Technical Architect Chris Thomas has been with Bistech for nine years and James Thomas, who works on the Helpdesk, joined Bistech 18 months ago.
Bistech is currently recruiting for positions in such areas as sales, business development, project management and the helpdesk as well as in the technical team.
Some 5,700 students received their degrees at the BIC over four days.
BU Acting Dean of the Business School Prof Keith Wilkes said: "Our congratulations to Robert.
"Great thanks go to Bistech for sponsoring this award for the past ten years. We value and rely on the support of such strong local companies to help make the university the success it is."
BU has more than 17,000 students, including 1,500 international students from 130 countries.
